Peer Navigator
Peer Navigator provides support and supervises the youth within our housing program. Utilizes their lived experiences while performing home-life training, assisting with, and participating in therapeutic activities and completing supportive record-keeping functions.
- Serve as a member of a group treatment team with the responsibility for ensuring each youth person successfully completes the goals set forth in their housing plan.
- Assist the young people with daily life activities.
- Lead, supervise, and participate in recreational activities.
- Responsible for conducting life-skills groups to youth in the program on a weekly basis.
Education and Experiences
- High school diploma or equivalent required, one (1) year of experience working in a child caring institution preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience working in human services.
- Must have “lived experience” with homelessness, mental health, substance use disorder, or psychological trauma.
