Driver - ILP Program
The Independent Living Plus (ILP) Driver promotes the safety and well-being of youth participating in the ILP program through transportation, supervision, support, and mentorship. This position is responsible for safely transporting youth to appointments, school, employment, recreational activities, and other approved destinations while also assisting with life skills development, documentation, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for youth served by the program.
- Safely transport youth as assigned using an agency vehicle to appointments, school, employment, community activities, and other approved destinations.
- Assist youth with boarding, departures, and transportation logistics as necessary.
- Provide positive role modeling to youth while promoting appropriate behaviors and decision-making skills.
- Appropriately model independent living skills including communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, responsibility, and professionalism.
- Complete and maintain required documentation including transportation logs, incident reports, daily logs, mileage reports, and other assigned paperwork accurately and timely.
- Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
- Provide light vehicle maintenance support including fueling, oil changes, and reporting maintenance concerns.
Education/ Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with youth, adolescents, or vulnerable populations preferred.
- Professional driving or transportation experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
