Manager/Supervisor
We are seeking a supervisor to oversee our Foster Grandparent Program.
JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor is responsible for the daily management of the Foster Grandparent Program. The Supervisor functions as a working project manager, actively involved with community organizations and volunteers. 

DUTIES
  • Provide education, assessment, and ongoing support to the foster grandparents and foster grandchildren.
  • Serve as the point of contact for foster grandparents, coordinate and schedule visits between the foster grandparent and the foster grandchildren. 
  • Coach foster grandparents in verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques and be available by phone to offer assistance when needed. 
  • Maintain a warm and professional relationship with the foster grandparents.
  • Perform associated office work, such as compiling statistics, preparing reports, maintaining files as necessary.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate’s degree will be considered.
  • Two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Training and/or experience in work with those over 55 years of age and volunteers.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Program planning and evaluation.
  • Computer and software applications (Windows, MS Office, Internet applications, etc.) necessary to perform the duties of the position.
  • Strong interest and experience in community relations required.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills necessary for written reports and giving oral presentations and trainings.
  • High commitment to the field of aging.
